Directions:
The Christmas Tree is made from four separate bead layers that are strung together to complete.
Follow the instructions below to make each of the four layers.
Layer #1 (bottom)
1) Measure out 18” of nylon filament.
String seven yellow green bicones on, leaving a 3” tail at the end (B). Take the long end of the
nylon filament (A) and cross through the last bead, creating a circle of beads.
2) Add three yellow green bicones, one red bicone and three more yellow green bicones onto the
string. Take the string and cross through the last bead again, creating an outer circle. Now, string
through the next bead in the circle.
3) Repeat step 2 until you have gone around the original center circle and have seven outer loops.
Looks like a flower.
Take both ends of the nylon filament and tie two sturdy knots. To hide the ends, weave through
some beads away from the knot and cut off excess.
Layer #2 -
4) Measure out 18” of nylon filament. String six yellow green bicones on, leaving a 3” tail at the end (B). Take the long end of the nylon filament (A) and cross through the last bead, creating a circle of
beads.
5) Add two yellow green bicones, one red bicone and two more yellow green bicones onto the string.
Take the string and cross through the last bead again, creating an outer circle. Now, string through
the next bead in the circle
6) Repeat step 5 until you have gone around the original center circle and have six outer loops. Looks
like a flower.
Take both ends of the nylon filament and tie two sturdy knots. To hide the ends, weave through
some beads away from the knot and cut off excess.
Layer # 3 -
7) Measure out 12” of nylon filament.
String five yellow green bicones on, leaving a 3” tail at the end (B). Take the long end of the nylon
filament (A) and cross through the last bead, creating a circle of beads.
8) Add two yellow green bicones, one red bicone and two more yellow green bicones onto the string.
Take the string and cross through the last bead again, creating an outer circle. Now, string through
the next bead in the circle.
9) Repeat step 8 until you have gone around the original center circle and have five outer loops. Looks
like a flower.
Take both ends of the nylon filament and tie two sturdy knots. To hide the ends, weave through
some beads away from the knot and cut off excess.
Layer # 4 (Top)-
10) Measure out 12” of nylon filament.
String four yellow green bicones on, leaving a 3” tail at the end (B). Take the long end of the nylon
filament (A) and cross through the last bead, creating a circle of beads.
11) Add one yellow green bicones, one red bicone and one more yellow green bicones onto the string.
Take the string and cross through the last bead again, creating an outer circle. Now, string through
the next bead in the circle.
12) Repeat step 11 until you have gone around the original center circle and have five outer loops.

Assembling the Tree:
Take about 18” of nylon filament. String the jingle bell to the center of the nylon filament. Take both ends of the nylon filament together and string the first layer with seven loops through the center circle onto the jingle bell. Add an 8mm clear facet bead. Next, string the second layer with the six loops and add a 6mm clear facet bead. Next string, the third layer with the five loops and add a 4mm clear facet bead. Next, string the fourth layer on with the four loops and add the 6mm gold facet bead then the 4mm gold facet bead on top.
Separate the two ends of the nylon filament. On one string, add twenty red seed beads. Take the other ends and cross through all twenty beads, forming a loop for a hanger. Pull ends together and tie twice for a secure knot. To hide the ends, weave the ends through some beads and cut off excess.
