Directions

Take the 3” x 9” felt and glue the 3” edges together, forming a tube. Slip the tube over the jar. Carefully pull the top edge around to the top of the jar lid, slightly stretching the felt. Glue the edges to the top of the jar lid.

With the seam in the back, place the 2” wood knob on top of the jar lid. Glue in place for the head.

Take the ” satin ribbon and find the middle. Using a small dot of glue, glue the middle of the ribbon to the back of the neck. Bring both ends of the ribbon to the front of the gown. Use a little glue to spot glue the ribbon in place. Create a “v” neck with the ribbon. Have both ribbons run down the gown next to each other and glue in place. Tuck the ends of the ribbon under the front of the gown. Glue ends in pace and trim off excess ribbon.

Take a 1 ” x 3” piece of felt for the sleeve and glue the 1 ” edges together, forming a tube. With the seam on the bottom, place a line of glue around the edge on the inside of the tube. Place this end on one side of the body near the top for a sleeve. Adhere to the body. Repeat with the other piece for the other side’s sleeve. On the bottom of the sleeves, slightly stretch the felt to flare it out. Place a 16mm wood bead inside each sleeve at the opening. Glue in place for the hands.

For the bangs, cut off an 18” length of yarn. Wrap the yarn into a 2” length bundle. Take a small piece of yarn and knot at the center of the bundle. Cut the loops of the yarn apart. This will be the bangs, leave on the side for now.

For the hair, take the rest of the yarn and loop into a 6” long bundle. Take a small piece of yarn and tie the bundle in the middle. Cut the loops apart. Take the knotted middle and place on top of the head. Glue in place. Take the bangs and place it right next to front of the hair. Glue in place. Trim hair as necessary.

For the cap, take the 1/2'” x 4” strip of foamie and glue the ends together to form a ring. Add a line of glue along the top edge on the inside. Center and place the 1 ” x 1 ” foamie square on top and glue in place. Take the embroidery floss and make a small loopy bundle of floss. Tie together with a long piece of floss. Trim the loops apart to form the tassel. Glue the long end of the floss to the center of the cap. Use the ” hole punch to make a small foamie circle. Glue the circle over the end of the floss on top of the cap.

Place the cap on top of the head and glue in place.

For the eyes, use the end of the paintbrush and paint dip dot circles with the black acrylic paint onto the face area. Let dry. Use the end of the paintbrush to make tiny accent dots with the white paint onto the eyes. Let dry.

Twist open the jar carefully and fill with goodies.
