Directions
Trace and cut out pieces from felt according
to
the patterns.
Take one of the “Rice” pieces and match the
edge with one edge of the black “nori” strip. Carefully glue edges
together around the whole “rice” piece. Overlap the black felt edges
about ½” and
trim off the excess. It should look like a small triangular dish now.
Fill the piece with fiberfill. Place the
other “Rice” piece on top aligning the edges with the black felt edges.
Carefully glue the two edges together around the whole piece. This is
your musubi.
Stand the musubi up. Glue the red pom pom in
the center of the white felt on one side.
Thread the black embroidery floss onto the
needle. Stitch floss through the center top of the musubi on the black
felt. Pull floss through and knot ends together to make the ornament
hanger.
Cut the brown chenille stem in half. Bend
each half into antlers. Position each antler on either side of the top
of the musubi. Glue antlers in place.
Make a bow with the ribbon and glue to the
bottom edge of the musubi.
