To begin, string 5 beads to the middle of
the nylon filament string. Take the right end of the string and cross
the thread through the last bead, creating a circle of beads. The
right and left ends of the string should be coming out at opposite
ends of that bead.
-
Add 4 beads onto the left string. Take the
right string and cross through the last bead that was strung. This
creates another closed circle.
-
Add 3 beads onto the left string. Take the
right string and cross through the first bead in the first circle then
through the last bead on the left string. This creates another closed
circle.
-
Add 3 beads to the left string. Take the
right string and cross through the second bead in the first circle
then through the last bead on the left string. This creates another
closed circle.
-
Add 3 beads to the left string. Take the
right string and cross through the third bead in the first circle then
through the last bead on the left string. This creates another closed
circle. By now, the ball is starting to take a more 3-D shape.
-
Add 2 beads to the left string. Take the right string
and cross through the fourth bead in the
first circle, the first bead in the second circle then through the
last bead on the left string. This creates another closed
circle and completes half of the ball.
(Note: the second circle is
next to circle #6, which you just completed.)
-
Add 3 beads to the left string. Take the
right string and cross through the second bead in the second circle
you made. Then string through the last bead on the left string,
creating another closed circle.
-
Add 2 beads to the left string. Take the
right string and cross through 2 beads, one from the second circle and
one from the third circle. Continue and go through the last bead on
the left string creating another closed circle.
-
Add 2 beads to the left string. Take the
right string and cross through 2 beads, one from the third circle and
one from the fourth circle. Continue and go through the last bead on
the left string. Slip the 10mm jingle bell in now.
-
Add 2 beads to the left string. Take the
right string and cross through 2 beads, one from the fourth circle and
one from the fifth circle. Continue and go through the last bead on
the left string.
-
Add 1 bead to the left string. Take the
right string and go through 3 beads: one from the fifth circle, one
from the sixth circle and one from the seventh circle on this second
half of the ball. Continue and cross through the last bead on the left
string. The ball with the bell inside is now completed.
-
Finishing- String 20 seed beads onto the
left string. Take the right string and cross through and string
through all 20 seed beads. The two strings should meet together. Tie 2
sturdy knots to secure the beads. Slip the ends of the string through
a few beads to hide the ends. Cut off excess string close to beads.
Slip the lanyard hook onto the seed bead loop.
