DIRECTIONS: Trace 2 whale
body pieces onto white foam core board according to the
pattern.
Cut out pieces using an X-acto knife. Cut 2 pieces of
foam core board 4 ¾” x 5 1/8” for the front and back sides of
the box cover. Cut 1 foam core
piece 4 ¾” x 4 7/8” for the top of the tissue box. Using the
pattern,
cut a circle out form the middle so that the tissue can be pulled
through. Align the 4
¾” edges and glue the top to the 2 side pieces. You can use the
tissue box as a guide by placing the pieces on the box before
gluing. Place the glued
piece between the 2 whale bodies with the hole cut-out on the top.
Align the bottom edges and glue in place. Using the
acrylic paint color of your choice, paint the surface of the
whale. Let dry. Apply clear sealer over the paint. Let dry. Glue a moving
eye to either side of the whale. Use the black fine tip permanent
marker and draw in a smile on either side of the whale. Place tissue box inside holder. Pull first tissue through holder so that it looks like a spout.
